[edit] Predecessor
PedanticallySpeaking had written that Joseph Philo Bradley was preceded by James Moore Wayne, remarking that the seat was abolished in 1867 but recreated in 1869. Wayne's seat was indeed abolished, but there's no reason to associate that seat with Bradley's. John Catron's seat was similarly abolished by the same law that abolished Wayne's seat, and only one seat was created in 1869, so which of these two seats would be the one that's recreated? The answer is that the seat created in 1869 is a brand spanking new seat and has nothing to do with Wayne's seat. — DLJessup 04:44, 9 Feb 2005 (UTC)
