More emphasis needs to be put on how formidable the amount research he did when working on this book. He included, and critically analyzed, nearly every significat economist in history. Schumpeter even discovered a few economists whose early insights were overlooked and basically demonstrated an understanding and historical perspective of nearly every economist.
