[edit] Hall of Fame Template
- To: info@baseballhalloffame.org
- Subject: HOF Logo Request
- Body:
Hello,
I am an editor on Wikipedia, the Internet's most recognized open-source encyclopedia. Up until a couple weeks ago, we were using the Hall of Fame logo to mark entries of Baseball Hall of Famers (the template for this as of two weeks ago can be seen here). However, due to fair use concerns, this template has been edited so that it currently does not contain the logo. This greatly reduces the usefulness of the tag, so much so that the template has been suggested for deletion.
I'm writing this email to see whether the fair use issue can be resolved. Would the Baseball Hall of Fame be willing to give permission to Wikipedia to use the logo in this manner?
