Hi Jshepp,
Thanks for your contribution to the Islam and anti-Semitism article. Would you please add references for the information you added. They needs to be referenced to reliable sources (WP:RS). Thanks, --Aminz 07:28, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks Jshepp for some of the references you provided. I'd like to point out that we can not reference to Qur'an directly in wikipedia since Qur'an is a primary source. There are many verses and Hadiths that are all used together. We can however quote "Scholar X in his commentary on verse X". Second point is that "Karen Armstrong" is much better to be replaced by more renowned scholar (like Montgomery Watt or Wilferd Madelung or William Muir, etc). Among them Montgomery Watt seems to be more sympathetic towards Islam. You can have free online access to many of their books at books.google.com or amazon.com Thanks anyway, --Aminz 07:11, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Please have a look at [1]. Thanks --Aminz 07:57, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Dear Jshepp,
Thanks for your kind messege on my talk page. Welcome to wikipedia. First, please make a user page for yourself :) Well, I honestly don't know much about Karen Armstrong. Some people here dispute her as not very reliable. We want to have the best of course. But if you feel you can defend Karen Armstrong's scholarship (which I couldn't do), feel free to use her as a source. In anyways, Thanks and Welcome to wikipedia. --Aminz 08:10, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
P.S. that article definitely needs a clean up BTW. --Aminz 08:13, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- I have worked on the article a bit. You can see what I added there sticks for few days; and once User:Pecher comes back to wikipedia, I guess, then .... I don't know what will happen :(--Aminz 09:56, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
