Juan Antonio Señor

Juan Antonio Señor Gómez (born 26 August 1958, Madrid) is a former Spanish footballer. During his career, he played for Deportivo Alavés (1978-1981) and Real Zaragoza (1981-1990), and later was the head coach of Mérida UD (1999-2000), UD Salamanca(2000-2001), CD Cartagena (2002-2003) and CD Logroñés (2003-2004).
Between 1982 and 1988, he made 41 appearances and scored 6 goals for the Spain national football team, and was a participant in Euro 84 where Spain was beaten by France in the final game and also had a remarkable participation in the 1986 FIFA World Cup. He scored the 12-1 goal against Malta in the last qualifying game for Euro 84, where Spain needed an 11-goal difference victory to get qualified. He was also champion of the Spanish Cup or Copa del Rey in 1986, thanks to Ruben Sosa's single goal in a 1-0 victory against FC Barcelona.
He had to retire sooner than expected due to a heart disease and currently manages a football campus for children in the Aragonese Pyrenees.
