Juan Fernando López Aguilar

Juan Fernando López Aguilar (born June 10, 1961 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) is a Spanish Socialist Workers' Party politician, and formerMinister of Justice in the government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.
López Aguilar has a degree in Law and for a long time he taught Constitutional Law at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
In November 2006, he was elected as the socialist candidate for the Presidency of the Canary Islands Government.
