MIAMI POLITICS Juan del Cerro is concerned with almost everything that goes on in the United States, but very much so with the politics in Miami, Florida. This city is an American city in spite of the amount of foreigners walking around. The original one million Cubans fleeing the communist Castro regime have most become U.S. citizens and vote in all elections. The recent primaries held were a terrible example of U.S. politics in Miami, specifically the Republicans, who exemplified no-ethics advertising to an enth degree! Governor Bush himself the worst offender, pushing a candidate that was openly rejected by the community. I had written a book regarding Miami Politics before the primaries came to pass and, although published last week in Canada, nobody has heard of it or read it. I write in a humorous vein and my book was not intended for everyone, it really makes fun of the Cuban idisioncracies, their loudness, and their big crazy love for politics. Since it is the Cubans that I intend to sell my book to, I gave it the title of "A Cuban in the White House", which will surely prove to be very controversial. Although I wrote for the Cuban people, the immigration problem, a right-now event, which will not easily go away for the U.S. government and for every American, is discussed by the hero of my book. He believes he has a solution. The book is of course fiction. But the immigration problem is not, because even if Cubans are no longer foreigners, and they vote, they can be easily influenced by the poor and suffering. And some people do make mistakes, if you refer to recent Gov. Schwarzenegger discrepancies with Miss Garcia over there in California. MIAMI POLITICS are therefore not so far removed from the rest of the U.S. And the next US presidential elections will be to die for!
