Apparently the child of Hugo and Rita in the upcoming third film could be considered an F1 hybrid. That is, if one were to take the storyline seriously in the manner of Star Trek fans arguing over which would cause a bigger explosion, an overloaded phaser or an overloaded Romulan disrupter. However, with the introduction of trolls in the TV storyline, the TV canon contains what could be considered magical creatures, which puts questions of genetics into a parascientific context.
