Kagoshima Airport (鹿児島空港 Kagoshima Kūkō?) (IATA: KOJ, ICAO: RJFK) is a second class airport located in Kirishima, Kagoshima, Japan. The runways opened in 1944, though regular flights from the airport did not commence until 1962. 2000 is the first year in which more than 2.5 million passengers landed or departed from the airport.[1]
