Kaiser Wilhelm
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kaiser Wilhelm is a common reference to two German Emperors (note that Wikipedia has anglicised the German names in individual articles, for example Kaiser Wilhelm II appears as William II, German Emperor in his article):
- Kaiser Wilhelm I (1797 - 1888), King of Prussia. Under the influence of his chancellor, Otto von Bismarck, Wilhelm became the first Kaiser (Emperor) of a united Germany.
- Kaiser Wilhelm II (1859 - 1941), son of Kaiser Frederick III. Lost the imperial throne after his abdication in 1918.
