Karen Carney

Karen Carney (born August 1, 1987) is a footballer who currently plays for Arsenal Ladies FC, and is one of the youngest women ever to play for England at full international level.
She plays as a striker and, as of November 2005, has scored 3 goals in 12 appearances for England, including a last-minute goal in the 3–2 win over Finland at Euro 2005 which earned her a lot of media attention.
Karen was voted 2005 Nationwide Young Player of the Year. On 9 March 2006, she added to her growing reputation by scoring the only goal in England's 1–0 win against Iceland at Norwich City FC with a well taken headed goal.
She joined Arsenal on July 13, 2006 after previously playing for Birmingham City LFC.
