Karimpuzha

Karimpuzha is a village in Ottapalam taluk, Palakkad Dist.Karimpuzha River is one of the tributaries of the Chaliyar River. Chaliyar River is the fourth longest river[citation needed] in Kerala, south India at 169 km in length. A famous Sree Rama Swamy Temple is situated on the banks of this River. Temple was owned by Kozhikode Samoodhiri(currently Calicut). Famous personalities from this place includes, Karimpuzha Ramakrishnan, Com. Kongasseri Krishnan Menon, Karimpuzha Gopi Poduval and Rama Poduval (Chenda Artists), Chalapurath Ravi Menon (Cini Artist), Karimpuzha Ramachandran (poet), Arya Vaidyan Rama Varier, (founder of the famous Coimbatore Arya Vaidya Pharmacy), Gnyananda Saraswati (spiritual guru).
