Karma is the fourth single from R&B singer/songwriter Alicia Keys' sophomore album, The Diary of Alicia Keys. It was released in September 2004. It reached the Billboard Top 100 list. It was released into a music video in the fall of 2004. "Karma" is one song that differs from other Alicia Keys' soul songs.

The song "Karma" is how Alicia feels when, possibly, her boyfriend leaves her without a reason. Alicia moves on but her ex-boyfriend comes back and asks to be together again. Alicia, of course refuses and this related to the meaning of the word, "Karma", which means "Actions that have consequences; fate; destiny".

"Karma" was released in 2004 as Alicia Keys' fourth single from The Diary of Alicia Keys. It was released as a music video around the same time. "Karma" made radio hits for a prolonged period of time. "Karma" has been remixed by other artists, helping the song be more known.

In the MTV VMA's in 2005, "Karma" won an award for "Best R&B Music Video" It was number 20 in the nation and number 17 in the US R&B.
