Karri Ramo (born July 1, 1986 in Asikkala, Finland) is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning as their sixth-round pick, #191 overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
A product of HeKi of Heinola, Finland, Ramo made his SM-liiga debut in the 2003-04 season with Pelicans after the team had lost their chance at the playoffs. In the next season he played 26 games with Pelicans, earning a contract with HPK for 2005-06. Ramo shared goaltending duties with Miika Wiikman, putting up excellent stats and winning the SM-liiga championship. Ramo also represented Team Finland at the 2006 Under-20's World Championships as Tuukka Rask's backup.
After HPK's championship win the Tampa Bay Lightning signed Ramo to a two-way contract, and he made his NHL debut on December 2 against the Ottawa Senators, replacing Johan Holmqvist. He is not currently on the Lightning roster, but remains their property and plays for their AHL affiliate, the Springfield Falcons.
