I lived down the road from him in France so I know that the part about owning the vineyard is correct. I think he had inherited from his wife. The vineyards produced quite a nice red wine -- I still have a few bottles stored away.
I never met his wife but he had her picture hanging in the foyer -- quite a nice portrait actually. As for the rest, I can't verify any of it -- although I know he speaks fluent Finnish and Swedish as well as seeming to have an extraordinary knowledge of military aviation.
