- I saw your note on the talk page of the 14th Brooklyn article. However, being a member of an organization (or even the webmaster) does not necessarily mean you hold the copyright of the text. So there's still no evidence that you have the right to repost it on Wikipedia. I only have your word that you are a member of the 14th or, for that matter, even that you are who you say you are. If you want to reprint the information here, you first need to make a note on the original website that it is licensed as free use under the GFDL (this also means that other websites may reprint it as well). Until then, I have no choice but to delete this as a possible copyright violation. If you are the original author and copyright holder, you should appreciate the fact that we're trying to protect your rights. Kafziel Talk 20:33, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- If you'd like to rewrite the history in other words, please feel free. However, please note that submitting writing on Wikipedia does mean that anyone will be free to redistribute it anywhere, for free, on any other website. All Wikipedia articles are free to be copied and reprinted for any reason. This one would be no exception. Anything you write here can (and will) be edited or copied by anyone who wants to.
