Kasab

Kassab (Arabic: كسب, Armenian: Քեսապ) a Syrian border town located in Latakia Governorate (Muhafazat al Ladhiqiyah) north west of the country.
Administratively Kasab belongs to Mantiqat al Ladhiqiyah (Arabic for Latakia district), one of the governorate 4 Manatiq, the town has about 3,500 inhabitants.
Being at 800 above sea level in the middle of a dense coniferous Mediterranean forest, makes it a popular summer destination. Kasab is 65 kilometres far from Latakia the district and governorate capital, 3 kilometres from the Turkish border, and 17 kilometres from the Mediterranean sea.
