Katchafire are a successful contemporary New Zealand reggae band from the Waikato.
Katchafire formed in 1997, as Bob Marley tribute band, before writing original music. Their reputation has come about partly as a result of extensive touring on the part of the eight piece band. They have released two albums, Revival (2003) which featured the highest selling NZ single of 2003, and Slow Burning (2005).
Their name comes from the Bob Marley Album Catch A Fire.
