Kaunas Zoo
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kaunas Zoo is the only Zoo-park in Lithuania. It is located in an oak grove in the south-western part of Kaunas, where over 2,000 individuals of almost 270 species of animals are kept. Kaunas Zoo was founded in 1938 by zoologist Tadas Ivanauskas. Due to lack of funds, the Zoo still awaits its renovation.
