On April 15, 2006, my wife and I took our long awaited day trip to Kecksburg, PA. I was able to find the fire hall, and various webpages had shown pictures of the UFO model and its pedestal, so I figured it'd be worth seeing. But when we got there, only the pedestal was left. No sign of the UFO. Maybe it went back to outer space.
so was the model stolen or taken down by people?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kecksburg_UFO_incident#2005:_NASA_changes_story_to_.22Russian_satellite.22 In this section, the source given is from a UFO website, and not (apparently) the AP. http://www.virtuallystrange.net/ufo/updates/2005/dec/m09-011.shtml (this is the source link) In that link, there is a link to http://www.timesleader.com/mld/timesleader/news/local/13360634.htm which gives an "article not found" error.
Thus, it looks to me like this section needs a new source, or it will probably have to be removed. Communisthamster 23:25, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
