Hello again. Your recent requests on various Namibia related talk pages is an improvement. You should note your relationship with the websites you are suggesting and let others decide the appropriatness of your suggested links. If you add the links to the articles, it will still be considered spam. You have a series of well written and organized web pages, good - but don't use Wikipedia to promote them. As suggested on my talk, why not add content based on your knowledge and references to the various Wikipedia pages. We're here to write an encyclopedia - not to promote our work elsewhere. Hello V. Smith. Thank you for your comments. I would be happy to contribute information about Namibia. My reson for building the Namibia-1on1 site was to make people more aware of what this country has to offer. If there is a page on the site, I have been there, photographed it, researched the subject and then asked the relevant local scientific authority to 'vet' the paper.
Several of the present Wikipedia pages on Namibia are not very informative and I want to help. I would like to begin by adding a new page and ask for your guidance. Please have a look at <http://www.namibia-1on1.com/Namibia-Coastal/White-Lady-Of-Brandberg.html>. It took me some time to research this particular mural. It is the most famous rock painting in Africa and I believe should have some representation in the Wikipedia, but how do I go about making the contribution as I've already written the paper on the subject?
- Looks loke a very good article. I would reccommend writing a short article for Wikipedia using (and citing) the sources that you used for that page. Avoid copying or writing the same content as others here would consider it a copyvio from your own site (yeah, that's picky perhaps, but copyviolations are a serious problem). If you own images you are more than welcome to upload them and use them in your writing (just have to release rights to either public domain or GFDL..whatever - see the upload file link to the right). Be certain to source your work and avoid original research. Add a comment in the talk page regarding your website and others may decide to link to it. Hope all that wasn't too confusing.
