Kemble railway station is a railway station that serves the village of Kemble in Gloucestershire. The station is located on the Swindon-Gloucester "Golden Valley" line. Despite its rural location, Kemble station has a high number of passengers, due mainly to the proximity of Cirencester.
The station has two platforms, and is served by First Great Western: operating services from London Paddington to Gloucester and Cheltenham using HST and Adelante Class 180 trains, and local services from Swindon to Gloucester and Cheltenham using the former Wessex Trains Class 150 two carriage sets.

[edit] History
Until the 1960s the station was a junction, with two branch lines to Cirencester and Tetbury. You can still see the old branch lines today - just before the tunnel after Kemble station (going Swindon-bound).
[edit] Current Services & Ticket Office Information
Kemble station is served on a Monday to Friday by:
- 18 Swindon bound trains, 8 of which continue to London Paddington via Reading
- 18 Gloucester bound trains, 17 of which continue to Cheltenham Spa.
The station does have a ticket office, which is only open from the morning peak until about lunchtime on Mondays to Saturdays:
Monday - Friday: 0640 to 1330
Saturday: 0640 to 1410
Sunday: Closed
At times when the ticket office is closed, the station is unmanned.
The Greater Western Franchise's new timetable came into effect from 11th December 2006. Thanks to First Great Western, Kemble has benefited from an almost hourly clockface timetable throughout the day Monday to Friday, instead of the large and small gaps between services which can be seen in the previous timetable.
