Kennedy Slide of 1962

The Kennedy Slide of 1962 is the term given to the bear market of the first half of 1962, when John F. Kennedy was the U.S. President. Stocks had risen steadily since the late 1940s and peaked about December, 1961. Then, the S&P 500 sank 22.5% to a bottom in June, 1962.
