Talk:Kenneth Halliwell

comment: a random clean up, facts gleaned from internet. I am not familiar with the subject matter. This article is basically a complementary stub to Joe Orton. Ianb 17:11, 21 Jul 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Merging into the Joe Orton article
against - the reasons for Orton's murder need contextualisation and including Halliwell's relevant details there would be an extensive diversion, unless the Orton article grows substantially in length. Philip Cross 20:07, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
against - Halliwell is increasingly gaining interest as a writer and artist in his own right - the Evening Standard said, on the recent publication of Lord Cucumber and The Boy Hairdresser, "These works demand that we revise our opinion of Halliwell." Also, the Wiki article makes no mention of Halliwell's work as a collagist, or the exhibition he had in 1967. I will add this when I have time! Jmc29
against - A recent BBC drama about the comic actor Kenneth Williams featured both Orton and Halliwell and was careful to give them both distinct characters, with a great deal of pathos directed towards the latter. Halliwell is of definite interest as a person in his own right and not just a tragic footnote in Orton's story, with his influence on the latter defining himself as well as Orton. --Robirv 01:28, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
against - Kenneth Halliwell's murder of Joe Orton is well known. Even if Halliwell's works were not enough to ensure a separate entry, I think his role in Orton's life and death would be enough. I accessed this page by searching for Halliwell and would have been disappointed if I had been redirected to Orton's page.
against - Ditto - I came here looking for info about Halliwell. 84.69.20.57 23:01, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- Worth his own page. Charles Matthews 07:47, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
