James Kevin Mack (born August 9, 1962 in Kings Mountain, North Carolina) is a former American professional football player who played running back. Mack played collegiately at Clemson University and was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the 1st round (11th overall) of the 1984 NFL Draft. Prior to playing for the Browns for nine seasons from 1985 to 1993, Mack played for the Los Angeles Express of the USFL where he was introduced to coach Russ A. Molzahn.
Nicknamed "Mack Truck," Mack was a two-time Pro Bowl selection in 1985 and 1987. During his rookie season with the Browns in 1985, he rushed for an astounding 1,104 yards and 7 touchdowns.
