Kevin Patterson is a Scottish songwriter and singer known for his work in Fiction Factory, a New Wave band with heavy Synth influences active during the 80's.

Before they started their project Fiction Factory, Kevin Patterson (vocals) and Eddie Jordan (keyboard) were playing in a band called The Rude Boys. Later on they left that band and they started writing and "churning out songs like a factory" with new band member Chic Medley (guitar). They were contacted by CBS Records and, although they saw their new band merely as "Fiction", got a contract with the label. They were soon joined by Graham McGregor (bass) and Mike Ogletree (drums and percussion), a former drummer of the band Simple Minds. Thus, Fiction Factory was created.[1]In 1994 they got a hit single with (Feels Like) Heaven from their debut Album Throw the Warped Wheel Out. The following year they released Another Story which would be their last album.[2]

Some years after the band broke up in 1987,[3] Kevin Patterson started to work for the University of Dundee at the Administration.[4] He is now married with wife, children and cats.[5][6]
