My real name is Kian (or Cian) Duffy, and I'm a junior technician for a large European telecoms firm, from Maynooth, near Dublin, Ireland. My first edits were anonymous edits in April 2004, and I edited a lot anoymously from my static IP address. I last edited from it on the 20th of August 2004. I occasionally edit from a Tablet PC, which is not easy, hence my spelling mistakes...
I support Brighton and Hove Albion F.C., and in the Irish football leagues, Shelbourne FC.
I primarily use the BeOS operating system, always on Intel or IBM PowerPC powered systems. I also have an interest in Silicon Graphics MIPS powered systems, and Sun Microsystems SPARC powered systems. However, I do nearly all my computing off a 12.1" Sony VAIO laptop. Running BeOS, of course. I also use FreeBSD and IRIX for some stuff. Microsoft Windows actively hates me. It does its best to nuke itself in ever more intriguing ways every time I touch it.
I'm somewhat active in BeOS, being a contributor to HaikuNews and have a number of postings at BeBits.
I despise modern Apple Computers hardware, particularly the iPod, iBook and iMac, so I avoid going anywhere near those articles here, for fear of introducing heavy POV. Irony alert - I own a G4 iBook.
Braglist, of sorts
