King's College, Aberdeen was founded on 10 February 1495 by Bishop William Elphinstone in Old Aberdeen, Scotland.
In 1860, King's College formed a union with Aberdeen's Marischal College to create the present day University of Aberdeen.
In 1497, King's College established the first chair of medicine in the English-speaking world.
