Kingstown Radio
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kingstown Radio (originally Kingstown Hospital Radio) is a radio station based in Kingston upon Hull, England. It was launched as a Hospital Radio station in July 1961, at the Kingston General Hospital. To this day the service remains, although now based at the Hull Royal Infirmary Hospital on Anlaby Road.
More recently, (1999), the service began broadcasting to the Hull Royal site on Medium Wave 1350AM and now uses the slogan 'The Home Of Classic Hits'. The service can be heard with mostly live presentation between 9am and 11pm and broadcasts non-stop music the rest of the time using the "myriad" play out system over night.
