Algonquin Park. Kiosk is located in Nipissing District in northeastern Ontario.
Kiosk is a former community on Kioshkokwi Lake in northernThe name "Kiosk" is an abbreviated form of the lake's name, which means "lake of gulls". Kiosk was a station on the Canadian National Railway. Up until a fire in July 1973, a lumber company operated here. However, new regulations in the park area prohibited its rebuilding.
The community was demolished in the 1980s and it is now no more than a recreational area and access point to the interior of Algonquin Park.
