Kirovo-Chepetsk

Kirovo-Chepetsk (Russian: Ки́рово-Чепе́цк) is a town in Kirov Oblast, Russian Federation, located at the confluence of the Cheptsa and the Vyatka rivers, some 20 km east of Kirov. Population: 90,303 (2002 Census); 92,382 (1989 Census).
Founded in the middle of the 15th century as the village of Ust-Cheptsa (Усть-Чепца). Town status granted in 1955.
