Kirpal Nandra

Kirpal Nandra is an astronomer and astrophysicist in the Astronomy and Astrophysics Department at Imperial College London. He is Professor of Astrophysics. He is noted as a member of the X-ray group who studies the astrophysics of extreme environments, specifically those close to black holes in active galactic nuclei (AGN). He has written or co-written numerous papers on this topic.[1] In 2000 he received the Newton Lacy Pierce Prize in Astronomy for his work. He goes by the name "Paul Nandra" for certain circumstances.
