[edit] Promotions
The grand opening of the store, on June 27, 2006, was attended by founding band members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.
On July 9, 2006, as a promotional stunt, Lisa-Holly Friedman and Ronald K Marukawa (two longtime Kiss fans) were married on the premises, with Paul Stanley telephoning during the proceedings to wish them well. [1] As the Associated Press states, for the grand opening festivities "Some fans drove from as far away as Colorado and Oregon. One came from Poland. “I can’t believe I just met them,” said Adrian Czarnbey, who introduced the band at a news conference. “It’s just like seeing Jesus for me.”
[edit] Menu
The menu consists of standard coffeehouse fare, but with name changes made to reflect Kiss and Rock and Roll in general. Some simply insert the letter K, such as "Moka" and "Karamel". Some make specific allusions to Kiss albums/songs, such as "Rocket Ride Espresso", "Beth Blend", "Room Service", "Kiss Alive!" "Cinnamon Rollover", "Firehouse S'mores", "White Chocolate Symphony", "Black Diamond", "Let Me Go, Rocky Road", and "Mr.Speed".
The decaf versions of their coffees are known as "Unplugged" versions, reflecting their live Kiss Unplugged album and TV special. [2]
[edit] Products
Official non-menu products of the Kiss coffeehouse include pre-packaged coffees (ground only, not whole-bean); Apparel such as pins, t-shirts, polos, and babydolls; coffee mugs, thermoses and travel mugs. [3]
