KJFA-FM (105.1 MHz) is a radio station licensed to Santa Fe, NM covering the Albuquerque area and northern New Mexico. It is owned by Univision Radio and broadcasts a Regional Mexican format as "La Jefa" (The Chief) in competition with KLVO-FM 97.7 "Radio Lobo". KJFA started in November 2002 on the 101.3 frequency but moved to 105.1 in December 2006 and switching KKRG ("Recuerdo" Spanish Oldies) to 101.3 which only covers the Albuquerque metropolitan area. The 105.1 frequency in Albuquerque has often been subject to frequent format changes especially since the mid-nineties when the Telecommunications Act of 1996 allowing for consolidation of radio ownership was passed.
