Kobasicijada

Kobasicijada is an international sausage festival organized annually in the village of Turija, near Srbobran, Serbia. So far, 22 festival were held and it is one of the biggest and most popular village festivals in Serbia. The festival is attented by tens of thousands of people every year. [1]
In 2004, the festival sparked a controversy as it was organized during an official fast by the Serbian Orthodox Church, which issued an anathema against organizers and tolled death bells during the festival.
