[edit] Geography
Korgen is situated in the inland and are surrounded by mountains. Southwest towards Mosjøen lies Korgfjellet (Vesterfjellet), to the east you find Klubben, and to the north towards Mo i Rana you find Kangsen.
[edit] Korgfjellet
Many Norwegians have heard about Korgen because of the notorious Korgfjellet which quite a few times has divided the country in half with poor road conditions and traffic accidents during the winter. This is now avoided after the finishing of the Korgfjelltunnel in 2005.
