I am an 19 year old university student studying towards a BSc majoring in ecology and biodiversity.
My interest in contributing to Wikipedia is primarily to contribute articles of an ecological nature, with particular focus on New Zealand species and ecosystems, as there seems to have been relatively little progress made into getting a lot of information in these areas up, I focus on getting raw well referenced info. up and while spelling/grammar/manual of style edits are important and I do my best with regard to them they are not my main focus. I believe that it is important to cite as many references as possible in wikipidia articles, as academically the information on this site cannot be considered reliable- providing ample references acts to direct individuals to alternative/additional sources of information which are more robust in terms of their academic credibility.

-Mapara forest, Auckland island teal, articles on naultinus and hoplodactylus ssp.( at least create pages for all known species), Lakes Kohangapiripiri and Kohangatera, Giant otter ( Pteronura brasiliensis ),Trees: Miro, Matai, Pukatea, Tawa, Rimu, Kahikatea, Kaikamako, Native tree Fuschia. Rongoa ( maori traditional healing), East harbour regional park, Papitonga scenic reserve, Lake Horowhenua, Ruamahanga river, Orongorongo river,
More basic "To do" list:-
- expand the article on Tena (ecuador)
- add info on the differences between manuka and kanuka, sort out referencing on the Kokako article+ make further general contributions
- sort out an image for whitehead(bird) article and substitute in info. from Heather and Robertson to replace outdated info. from older field guide. Also add info. on place in maori culture from "Maori Bird Lore" book
- Expand the Kaka article with references, organize it into sections.
- Create Disambiguation page for "Spur winged Plover"
- Expand the Wrybill and Spotted Shag articles, 3
- Sort out foot-note type referencing for the Tieke article
