KOWZ

KOWZ (100.9 FM) broadcasts an adult-contemporary music format as well as farm reports, Paul Harvey's News & Comment and local news reports. The 100,000 watt station has its studios in the southern Minnesota city of Owatonna with its transmitter nearby although the official city of license lies some twenty miles to the south in the small town of Blooming Prairie. KOWZ (formerly knows by its farm roots phonetically pronounced as COWS) is owned by Linder Broadcasting who owns a group of radio stations stretching from this Blooming Prairie radio station in the east to radio stations as far west as Marshall, MN.
