KQMB
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
KQMB (STAR 102.7) was a radio station in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was owned by Bonneville International, the for-profit arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
STAR played music in the adult contemporary radio format and was broadcast at 102.7 MHz.
Slogan: Today's Best Variety.
On September 3, 2005 KQMB ceased to exist, and was replaced by KSL FM, a simulcast of KSL AM.
Soon after Bonneville relinquished its license to KQMB, a company in Provo, Utah bought it, now broadcasting a lower-powered version of the station called STAR 96.7. The new STAR can only be heard in Utah County, Utah and not in Salt Lake City.
New format is primarily the 80's. They have a broad selection on genres, and seem to have few repeats. They appear to be headquartered to Nephi, south of Provo.
