Hi folks,
I'd like to tell you a few things about me.
I was born in Munich, Germany in 1964 and I still live at the outskirts of that wonderful city, only 20 minutes from the city centre on the S-Bahn (municipial train).
I started learning English in 1975 upon the start of my term in "Gymnasium", the German brand of Junior High and High School. Afterwards I continued improving my English as an autodidact, reading English magazines (I'm a subscriber of Newsweek magazine for well over 20 years) and books and attending discussion courses for adults).
I consider myself an outspoken liberal and I don't like the way conservatives in America, most notably the GOP, are trying to impose a negative image on everything "liberal" means. Maybe they don't really understand the meaning of that word.
I'm interested in history, geography and the weather. I like to read books and to watch videos (I've got a sizeable collections of DVDs of mostly American movies which I enjoy watching in the original (Englisch) version.
Now you know all about me. ;)
