History
Station began on 1500 kilohertz in 1941. The transmitter was near the nowadays Chamizal land. The station changed to 600 kilohertz in 1948. The 600 tranmitter was on Dyer Street in North East El paso at the later Sunrise Shopping Center. The transmitter moved to 10420 Dyer in the late sixties.
The calls stood for Dorrance D. Roderick owner of the El paso Times newspaper.
