Krome Studios is one of the largest independent game developers in the world with almost 300 staff. Krome has offices in Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne. They are best known for their Ty the Tasmanian Tiger games. The company was founded in 1999 by Robert Walsh, who is currently the CEO, Steve Stamatiadis, the current creative director and John Passfield, the design director who left the company in 2005. Krome has created games for Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy Advance, Sega Dreamcast, Sony PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PC. Currently Krome is developing for Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, and Sony PlayStation Portable.
