Kugel is a loanword from Yiddish and German which originates from the Middle High German word for "ball" or "globe". Kugel can refer to a number of things:
- Kugel, a traditional Jewish baked dish.
- Kugel is a slang term amongst South African Jews, derived from the word's culinary usage, for an overly materialistic and excessively groomed young woman.
- A kugel or kugel ball is a sculpture consisting of a large granite ball that floats on water jets.
- A kugel ball can also be considered a traditional house ornament usually hung in the house year round.
