Kuroda Kanbei

Kuroda Kanbei (黒田官兵衛,1546-1604) was a man of great ambition and a famed strategist under Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
Kanbei gave considerable assistance to Hideyoshi in his rise to power, especially during the betrayal of Honnouji. His strategies led Hideyoshi to many victories during his later years. People feared Kanbei because of his perceived great intelligence . Later on Kanbei made an attempt to conquer the region of Kyūshū during the Battle of Sekigahara, but this ended up in failure. Kanbei died during the year of 1604.
