Kustom Culture
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kustom Culture is a car based lifestyle, often associated with older model automobiles (pre-1967), Pin-Up Models, Hot Rods, Rat Rods, Rockabilly Music, Psychobilly Music. Tatoos, Burlesque Dancing, and other late 1950's and early 1960's pop culture icons. The recent Kustom Culture craze has been fueled by publications like Ol' Skool Rodz, CK Deluxe, Rod & Custom, Record Labels Hep Cat Records, Television Shows Go-Kustom TV and modern retro clothing lines by Lucky 13. Most agree that Kustom Car builder George Barris (auto customizer) was the first to spell the word Custom with a "K".
