[edit] Weather Segment
While KVEO does not have its own news program, it does broadcast a weather segment at 6PM and 10PM Weekday evenings with meteorologist Jason McCleave of WeatherVision.
[edit] Contests/Promotions
KVEO frequently has contests or promotions in order to lure more people in to its afternoon lineup, with shows such as The Simpsons and Everybody Loves Raymond. Because of this, its slogan (when advertising such contests) is "It pays to watch NBC 23." Viewers are normally flashed an 800 number to call and then compete on-air for cash prizes. While the style of the contest varies from time to time, the concept remains relatively the same, with cash prizes often ranging from a few hundred dollars to one thousand.
