I am a Plant Sciences student at the University of Tennessee and 2005 graduate of Page High School in my hometown of Franklin. My areas of interest are hydroponics and Controlled Environment Agriculture.
I enjoy working as a student assistant at the Plant Biotechnology Building, learning and participating in research towards using switchgrass as a biofuel.
An exciting opportunity has come up in Livingston, Tennessee. Hydroserre Mirabel, a Canadian commercial hydroponic company that specializes in lettuce and herbs is building a new $40 million production facility there, and I am hoping that I will earn the opportunity to contribute to their business upon my graduation in May 2008.
