IMDb profile |
L'Homme de Rio (That Man From Rio) is a popular 1964 adventure film, directed by Philippe de Broca and starring Jean-Paul Belmondo and Françoise Dorléac (sister of Catherine Deneuve).
The film's plot was loosely based on the Tintin adventure The Broken Ear.
It might have been the inspiration of some Indiana Jones movies. Nice location shooting shows Rio de Janeiro, Oscar Niemeyer's nascent Brasília and Paris of the time.
