From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lachin (Laçın) is a rayon of Azerbaijan. Since the Nagorno-Karabakh War, the area has been under the control of Armenia who refer to it as Kashatagh. Although Lachin once had a notable Kurdish population, today it mainly consists of Armenians. It is the main land link between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
