The standard weekday off-peak service consists of 4 trains per hour in each direction:
Up services (eastbound):
- 1 tph to London Victoria (semi-fast)
- 3 tph to Brighton (all stations)
Down services (westbound):
- 1 tph to Littlehampton (all stations)
- 1 tph to Littlehampton (all stations except East Worthing)

The station has short platforms; passengers are required to listen to on-train announcements when alighting, and must alight travel in the front four coaches of the train.
